More About Melanie
I thought I should add a bit of info about Melanie C, so I'm going to put up the things I find most interesting. And the poem is one I wrote about her.

Ode to Melanie
Mel calls herself a 'Northern Star'
And to me she is just that
She's far away and out of reach
Oh how that makes me sad.
I'd love for us to sit and talk
About the things within this world
I want to know about the things
That make her Melanie Chisholm
I know that she is influenced
By the one and only Madonna
But does she know who I admire
The one I look up to most?
This girl who has outstanding taste
Supports my favourite football team
And I know that if she was my friend
I'd never let Mel walk alone
She used to have brown hair (like mine)
And then Mel had a change
The next time that we saw her
Mel had a gorgeous jet black mane
But once again we had a shock
When Mel next appeared on our screens
Mel's hair was mid length honey blonde
But this was soon to change, when she had a stylish crop.
My favourite spice has lost her trademark image
No more tracki bottoms on the telly
But the new rock chick look is a hit
Sometimes it turns my legs to jelly.
I know we'll never meet
But yes, it is my dream
But I'll see you on the stage Mel

On Her Appearance: "I'd love to be able to wear skirts like Victoria, but I don't really like my legs."
On Make-up: "My make-up bag isn't very good because I'm really not a make-up person.
On Fitness: "I like to exercise, so I go to the gym about five times a week. I run about five miles, do weights and alot of abdominal work".
More...: "It doesn't matter how you get fit, as long as you enjoy it and it's not a chore. At school you've got really good opportunities, 'cos you can be in the football, hockey or netball team. But, when you leave school it gets much more difficult."
And...: "If you want to fell good, you've got to be good to your body. Just look after yourself."
Finally...: "I love to exercise, and I go to the gym alot. But, I still find that one of the best ways to exercise is to put on my favorite tunes and jump around like a nutter!"
On Eating: "These days I'm eating loads of natural things like pulses and nuts and grains, fruit and vegetables and drinking a lot of water. It's made me feel loads better."
On Confidence: "You have to be cool with yourself. For a long time I, like many other girls, hated the way I looked. You hate your hair, you think you're fat, and you're not happy with this or that and you think all your friends are better than you. That is no way to live."
Are You Shy?: "I'm really shy and quiet, especially if you don't know me. But, when it comes to performing, I find it alot easier.
Aspirations: "I wanted to be a dancer, but I've also been into football because of where I'm from - everyone from Liverpool loves football. And, ballet and football aern't all that different. There's alot of skill involved in both."
